This is a mix you can make up and keep in your food cache, I do like the idea of not only having stores of beans but also having beans mixed ready-to-go that can be used with just water, while still having flavor.  It is chili but with a bit more of a kick, and you can make it vegetarian or with ground beef if available.  You can even add canned chicken or turkey flakes as well.

1/2 cup dried red kidney beans
1/2 cup dried navy beans
1/2 cup dried black beans
1/3 cup dried minced onions
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons dried cilantro or parsley flakes
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic

This will all fit into a quart jar, or you can vacuum seal it.

If you have ground beef, cook it first.  Bring all ingredients and cooked ground beef to a boil in 6 cups of water, then simmer for about 2 hours or until beans are tender.  Add 3 15ozcans of tomato juice, bring back up to a boil, then simmer for 15 mins.  If you do not have tomato juice, you can use additional water instead, stewed or canned tomatoes or water with a package of dried tomato soup.
